Drama students see DNA and Alice's Adventure Underground in London

Drama students have been busy with two recent theatre trips to London. Year 10 students went to see the National Youth Theatre’s production of DNA at their studio theatre in North London.  This was an amazing opportunity for the students to see their set exam text bought to life.  It was a superb production which really challenged the students’ own interpretations of this dark comedy and has provided them with useful insights as they refine their own concepts.

Year 12 students braved the tube on the hottest June day in 40 years to travel to The Vaults, SE1, to see an innovative, immersive production of ‘Alice’s Adventures Underground’.  This was a unique theatrical experience as the students followed the white rabbit through the rabbit hole into the crazy world of wonderland.  Some students joined the resistance movement along with Mrs McQuoid and Mrs May (who were later tried in court for eating the Queen’s tarts).  It was a magical experience that really challenged the students’ concept of what theatre can be!
